Welcome to the
MasTec Website
Our focus this
month is on Micronor, our superb Swiss manufacturer and supplier
of Automation Products.
Micronor is first
and formost a high precision engineering company.
They are well
known world wide for their broad range of precision rotary incremental
and absolute encoders. They also make a wide range of other automation
products.
MasTec's has
worked with Micronor for 15 years as their distributor for NZ
and much of Oceania.
MasTec ships
many hundreds of Micronor products throughout Oceania each year.
Micronor make
a full range of Industrial Encoders and other products for many
vertical markets
The list above is Micronors.
Micronor products are also used
in these NZ verticals
- Geothermal and
Hydro Generation
- Saw Mills and
Board Plants
- Plastic Molding
- CNC
- Robotics
- Machine Builders
- and many other
situations
MasTec doesn't stock the complete
range of Micronor products, as it is too large and diverse.
Micronor products are highly
reliable, and MasTec have very few RMAs with the factory.
Micronor also make safe encoder
products suitable for Class I explosive areas. The ZAP Free light
encoders and a range of gas sealed enclosed encoders.
If you are needing a steady supply
of Micronor products or just one unit, please talk to our sales
engineers.
For OEM supply MasTec will set
up with the Micronor factory, forward orders to make you production
smooth.
If you are needing medium to
long distance Linear Encoders, the best there is comes from Micronor's
neighbouring country, France.
Vectral make Tape Encoders with
no moving parts except the head which doesn't rotate but just
slides on a precision machined slotted tape.
Tapes can be up to 400 meters
long with an accuarcy of 0.1 mm on that length.
To connect a moving carriage
or moving head to a rotary encoder through wheels, gears or other
means is expensive and high maintenance.
Linear encoders are simple, just
roll out the slotted tape, tension it with springs, just clip
or bolt on the encoder head to the moving carriage and then cable
directly to a standard Quadrature Encoder Input on a PLC, PAC,
Industrial PC or Counter system.
Head velocities can be up to
10 meters/sec or 36kph
The prefect solution for many
machine builders.
LabVIEW Tips
for the month
No Tip this month, sorry, our
programmer is busy programming a large system.
Maybe next month.
LabVIEW Development
Work
We are still
accepting LabVIEW development, programming, teaching and coaching
for 2014.
We already have
several major LV projects for 2014 - 2015 but always have room
for a few more.
LabVIEW - Cleaning
up Code or Updating Code
MasTec can also pull code from
LabVIEW 3 up to LV 2013/2014 if required, or anything in between.
LabVIEW Training Read our training
page
We are especially interested
in teaching Software Design and Style Skills in LabVIEW, besides
just how to use all the LV tools, functions and structures.
We can teach Bloom layout styles
or LCOP Design.
We feel much of the programming
techniques taught in LabVIEW courses, do not bring programmers
to a professional level of Software Design.
Opportunity
-- Sales Consultant - This is still open
