Modern AC powered LED lights will usually last from 50,000 to 100,000 hours and will pay for themselves in power savings and maintanence over that time.
As a cautionery note:- If you are thinking of putting in DC powered LED lights then carefully plan to use DC DC converters with correct output and temperature compensation so as to get maximum life from the LEDs. Over current and over temperature will shorten lifetime rapidly.
