MasTec Re-focus:- You may have noticed over the last two years, MasTec has gradually changed its focus. In the past we were Brand focused. We have shifted from this and are now technology focused, that is, what is the best technology fit for the project, not a particular brand. Had a very good email in from one of the readers responding to last months discussion on the connection of mind and health, and he has allowed me to re-print a piece of it.
Your recent newsletters on health are refreshing to read. I know from my own experience that life will put lessons before us and if we dont learn from them they just get harder til we do. Certainly for me I am learning the value of the mind. We are all driven to pursue happiness unfortunately the strategies we adopt are usually distorted.
This month I would like to start a discussion on Looking after ourselves well. There is much we can do for ourselves.
One of the prerequisites for looking after ourselves well, is to actually acknowledge that we need to do this. It is so easy to grow up and just leave things on automatic pilot thinking or hoping that everything is always going to be fine. However, at some point, sooner rather than later, it is a good idea to acknowledge to ourselves that we need to look after our self. Other people dont tend to do this for us, like our loving mums and dads use to.
What this acknowledgement does, is focus some attention on us. Placing attention is important, this is where you put your mind on some thing. When we do this, some energy and consideration etc starts flowing our way. We start a process for ourselves, like a project, a reflection time.
This is what women often call a make over. Actually, many women are kinder to themselves than men in this respect, knowing when to put a little attention their way to spruce up the outside and the inside. Maybe this is why they live just a little longer than men (just a thought). Holidays are a great time for putting attention on ourselves. However, for best results, do a little each day, make it a habit.
Starting small, put an attention list on our monitors, or in the diary and revisit periodically. Doing this very small thing, will start a small miracle for us and also affect everyone around us. Expect this.
We may be afraid of what we might find out about what is in our mind but relax and enjoy the mistakes and faults (we are learning when we find or see these) as much as the success and good points. Finding flaws in ouselves and acknowledging these is sometimes hard to do, but as our reader from last month noted, the same things will be placed ion front of us and progressively get tougher nad tougher until we do acknowledge them and to let them go.
As issues surface we need to take note of these points and make a new list to work on (more attention placing), this response is expected and is just an unfolding taking place, there can be several layers to work down. Remember it is only stuff in our mind we have made, we can therefore remove it, we have authority because we actual own it, no one else does.
Look after yourself well. Start the process.
Next month I would like to discuss enzymes, where are they found and how to benefit enormously from them.
