MasTec is seeing unprecedent business development throughout NZ and Australia since December.
All sectors are growing, with ATE - Automatic Test equipment, Microprocessor, DAQ - Data Acquisition, Comms, SSR, Wireless RF and GSM, M2M, Program Temping and Projects being the largest growth areas. The media doesn't often cover these types of stories in depth but behind the scenes all the companies like MasTec are very busy supplying products, expertise, training and Integration services. I am sure some of my colleagues out there reading this will be nodding their heads in agreement.
This month we look at some new products, some new companies, also leave last months newsletter section on products on again because in some early editions the hyperlinks did not work, also introduce Sandra our visiting German marketing student and also continue on with the health tips which for 2004 will become more broad than food as health as we now know is body, mind and soul.

New book we are recommending "LabVIEW GUI: Essential Techniques"
It describes building LabVIEW GUIs. If you think you are building good front ends this will make you super good. MasTec in 2004 will be incorporating many of the techniques in this book in project work.
Another new book we are using "LabVIEW Graphical Programming" Gary JohnsonThe original LabVIEW book updated to LabVIEW 6.1. It seems that most people are at 6.1 and holding. This book is about Advanced LabVIEW programming but more than that really it focuses on specific areas and project work.

Some thoughts on peceptions:
For all those that have been reading these newsletters for the last few years, you will know by now that ideas that you may never have heard of or even thought about, are discussed very openly in this section, in a playful way because it is seriousness that causes us to become stuck in life, you may have noticed.!
So some thoughts to kick around during this year. Perceptions, Mirroring, Projections etc
Oops here we go with some heavy stuff, well actually it can be very light and playful if you like.
Perceptions:- ideas beliefs opinions etc are used all the time to make judgements or assessments during the day. Where do these perceptions come from, well the past really, unless you are very special, and so we are living our present by accessing the past.
Just a thought for you.
Now here is the fun part or the serious part. If you have loads of perceptions, most of us do, we drag them around with us as a huge chain of past things, in fact where ever we go, we can turn around and there is the chain following along behind and we keep checking everything against this chain. Very heavy, it can get very judgemental.
Cut the chain or shorten it, how can we do such a thing, well it is called transcending the need. Children do this automatically when they stop playing with their toys and move from those perception to books or adult perceptions, no one says how to do it but they do it, some revert later in life though.
So if children can do this automatically we can learn to do this again. We can do the same things with our list of perceptions ideas or beliefs etc.
Next month we will actually discuss how we can determine what we believe, it is coming up all the time and we miss it unless you are in witness mode.
Have a lovely time and start playing with the perceptions, remember they are ONLY thoughts, they can't bite.
