2012 New Year Reportce This is MasTec's 23rd year in business. Over the last 4 years we have grown with double digit rates. We are in an expansion mood and would like to purchase one or more distribution companies that are in a selling mood. In other words we want to acquire more opportunities and technology.. Please just drop an email to our director with your thoughts, plans or ideas.   B&B of Canada has recently purchased Quatech. This is a great combination as the companies compliment one another well. The same website for Quatech is still running but expect a fusion to take place during this year. PLC Kit Next month MasTec will offer this Trial kit. The Array SR Tiny PLC. I really like these little PLCs and many of our customers do also. Why not try one out. You may find that this PLC can do the job that your more expensive unit is doing. We stock almost the complete range also, MasTec will send a complete Array PLC SR Trialing Kit:- PLC hardware with LCD Display + the programming cable. The PLC will be wired up with analog and digital inputs and a set of LEDs as digital outputs. Included will be a USB Stick with the PLC program development software and some programming examples that allow playing with the IO provided. MasTec Ltd has been assigned the distribution for the ZigSense's product line for NZ and this month we introduce the new ZigSense Modbus Gateway linked Wireless modules in greater depth. You may have read about Zigsense already. Anyone who tries to use Zigbee Wireless at an industrial application level, are usually disappointed to find only rudimentary capabilities in Industrial ruggedness for measurement and control. This is a very special kit, that only a few will want to play with. Production, QA and Metrology Calibration engineers I think! It is from Eltrotec in Germany and it is a suitcase with sponge rubber mounting inside that contains a Fiber Optic Compact Amplifier with Dual Fiber Optic Barriers for Thru Beam and a Single Fiber Optic cable running in Reflect Mode, that measures physical linear distances. The amplifier model is the CLS-K - 61 - The most powerful Fibre Optic Sensor for industrial automation and quality assurance. It is a complete test bench with mounting blocks, rods, swivels and a vernier precision mounting adjustable tower to set up the fiber system to play with. The proportional analog output is 0-10VDC, switching Freq is 4KHz and the response time is 120 microsec. Also a digital output for sensing position with an open collector NPN output The linear range is 200mm in reflective mode and up to 2Ms in thru beam.
