BELOTTI VARIATORI has been active in the electro-mechanical industry since 1904.
In 1946 they began the production of toroidal variable autotransformers in Milano in co-operation with General Radio USA.
Variacs:Belotti is one of the world leading manufacturer in voltage regulation apparatus using Hand Controlled and Servo Controlled Variac Transformers, both three and single phase.
Alternator Regulation:Controlling the AC output from an Alternator on shore or in a mariine setting is difficult with varying loads. Using a Belotti Servo auto correcting single or three phase large size Variac is a very low cost way of achieving this.
Light Control:
Controlling lights for streets or large complexes where a controlled variac system reduces the lighting operating voltage which reduces the current and hence the power consummed without a greatly noticeable effect on lighting levels. This saves energy costs considerably. However in experience the greatest saving is the service of the system and maintenance for failed lamp replacement. This system can easily increase the life of large lamps by double or triple their normal hours and when this is factored into the cost of a system it turns out this is a vast saving over the running time of the lighting system.
