This plastic caliper is ideal when the use is only occasional
and
the expenditure of a stainless steel ($60 minimum) unit is not
justified. They are calibrated in inch and metric with corresponding
vernier scale. Claimed accuracy is 1/128in & 0.05mm, however
we must say that comparison with our lab precision vernier reveals
an accuracy more like 0.1mm at best. (The lab instrument 0.05mm
genuine resolution cost 20 times more!). Excellent value for
money.

This carbon composite digital caliper is ideal for general use and situations where the cost of our precision stainless steel tool isn't justified. The digital display is calibrated in imperial and metric units with a corresponding vernier scale etched onto the caliper slide. While we wouldn't recommend you use this caliper to build the Space Shuttle, it's perfectly suited to the home handyperson who finds traditional calipers hard to read. Excellent value for money.

made out of surgical grade stainless steel. It features a 5 digit
LCD display.
The display will show readings in metric - 3 significant figures
plus 2 decimal and in imperial - 2 significant figures and would
you believe 3.5 decimal. (The fourth figure is either 0 or 5).
The caliper can be zeroed at any point on the scale. A quality
product at a fabulous price. Supplied with a sturdy clip-lock
case with foam retainer and provision for spare battery.
