Continuous new USB models

USB-1208HS this is the fast version of the 1208LS low speed. -- Now 1MS/S Bipolar and Unipolar Inputs, 8 single or 4 differential and now 13 bits rather than 11 to 12 bits, so a huge step if you need performance like this. link

USB-2404-10 this is simultaneous sampling on four +/- 10 V channels at 24 bits @ 50 KHZ on each channel with 250 Vrms channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground isolation. Now that is a mouthful of product. link

or

USB-2404-60 this is simultaneous sampling on four +/- 60 V channels at 24 bits @ 50 KHZ on each channel with 250 Vrms channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground isolation. Now that is a mouthful of product. link

more

USB-2416 this is isolated high channel count 32 single ended or 16 differential programmable gain ( +/- 0.078 to +/-20V) 24 bits @ 1 KHZ sampling aggregate with 500 VDC channel-to-channel and USB isolation. Now that is even more of a mouthful of product. Has 8 digital and 2 32 bit counters also. Need more channels just add a mux to double. And like all of the above screw terminals are included so no cables other than the USB. Forgot, it is designed for TCs or voltage link

USB-1616HS

Also look at the USB-1616HS with BNC connectors link

USB-QUAD08

There is one more but I have left that for the Encoder section -- oh why not, - 8 encoder channels

The USB-QUAD08 data acquisition device provides simultaneous input and decoding for up to eight incremental quadrature encoders at a resolution of up to 48-bits.

It's eight quadrature counters support both differential and single-ended inputs, and feature multiple programmable counting modes.

The counters have a jitter of less than 10 ns, and accept up to a 10 MHz input.

The streaming speed to the PC is software configurable up to 8 MS/s.

The USB-QUAD08 can also serve as a high-speed pulse counter for general counting applications.

The eight digital I/O bits support up to 42.4 Vpk/50 VDC with clamping diodes for CEMF suppression.

Each channel includes an encoder activity LED to simplify the setup and debug of the customers application. link

New Improved DAQ Web Site

Have a look at this link

Now after the look I am sure you are amazed at the huge range of DAQ available.

Notice the model numbers say for the most common USB DAQ

So very easy to read the spec off the part number

The new 24 and 25 series are high pereformance - (24 series) 24 bit Simultaneous ADCs or (25 series board level) high channel 1MHZ SAR ADCs. (incredible value)

The 31 series are analog output modules, the numbering system is not quite as nice as the ADC range and they mean nothing really except the series and model.

The 43 series are counters of all sorts.

The DIO, ERB, PDIS & SSR series has every digital I/O and relay type or need covered.

TC and Temp cover all temperature types TC, RTD and Thermistor and even Semiconductor.

5 Series and 51 series loggers cover almost everything you need.

Now that is 68 USB DAQ models alone, impressive.

SWS has been using these units in house for all projects now for many years and they ae easy to use with C or LabVIEW.

We like the USB-1616FS for projects, lots of high accuracy, fast analog inputs, some analog gains, some digital I/O and a USB hub for expansion inside the OEM box, with only one USB cable back to the PC.

Future projects will use the new 25 series board level for OEM work, they give more, like analog out and counters on one board, a true multi purpose series.

Text language & LabVIEW support, and a half decent Chart, Logger, Scope combo ready to run App, called Tracer DAQ.

A more expansive Tracer DAQPro costs a few dollars but it might be all you need to do a project.

Don't forget PCI and PCI express boards also, plus ethernet, wireless even PCMCIA and ISA are still available.

Hundreds of choices.

Ask Loyal or Saera for help on these units. The software provided is extensive also.

March 2007 MCC Battery Powered Loggers

Measurement Computing Corporation, the market leader in low-cost data acquisition, has released three new battery powered specialty loggers to its growing USB product line. The three data loggers are:

· USB-503—a 0–30 VDC voltage logger—$135

· USB-504—a 4–20 mA current loop logger—$135

· USB-501-LT—an ultra small (lite) version of the USB-501 temperature logger—$105 - in Qty $99 +GST

These products are the perfect, cost-effective solution for both long- or short-term data logging applications. They offer reduced setup time and eliminate the need to drag around expensive equipment to make field or factory measurements. The 500 series provides a low-cost and simple interface to configure, download, display, and export logged data. The growing USB-500 series units may be the most convenient, easy-to-use dataloggers on the market.

Bill Kennedy, MCC’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, commented, “Customers who already own our USB-501 and USB-502 temperature loggers really appreciate their size, price, and ease of use, and have asked if we could extend the line to include loggers for other types of data, and that’s exactly what we’ve done. We have one for voltage, one for current, plus, a new ‘lite’ temperature logger that looks like a USB flash drive.”

The USB-503 logs up to 32,510 voltage measurements over a 0 to 30 VDC measurement range. The USB-504 logs up to 32,000 current loop measurements in the 4–20 mA range. Both the 503 and the 504 have eight programmable logging rates—from once every ten seconds to once every twelve hours. Flashing LEDs indicate logger status.

The tiny USB-501-LT logs up to 4,080 temperature measurements in the -10 to 50 °C (+14 to +122 °F) range and operates at fixed 15-minute, 30-minute, 1-hour, and 2-hour sample rates. Status is indicated by a red/green LED. All the loggers plug directly into a standard USB port for setup and data download.

The USB-500 Series Data Logging Application software (included with each logger) supports all products in the series. This user-friendly application is used initially to configure the loggers—program alarm thresholds, logging rates, start times, measurement units, etc. When the loggers are retrieved from the field, the same application provides simple one-click access to download, display, and export the data.
