MasTec continues to expand its line of OEM products. This is a broad product range, very comprehensive.

There are now available in this range 80+ different models of Power Controllers, with either Relays or PNP or NPN transistor outputs.

We believe you will not find a product like this with a lower price and more flexibility and options.

We needed this technology in house for a product and could not find a nice easy solution. This is the reason we have built these units. We are applying this unit in field situations, linked to micros for controlling pumps, irrigation valves, lights etc

The MasTec Range

A broad range of Low Cost Smart Power Control Modules with either Relays or NPN or PNP Power Transistors.

What makes them Smart ?

The AC controlled modules have a logic invert input and a master release input.

The DC controlled modules have a logic invert input and a master release input. Additionally they have various models with DC inputs with adjustable On levels and Off levels -- These are the two threshold voltages when the output is turned ON and turned OFF.

There are three categories of inputs in these products. Each has a different levels for Input thresholds for deciding when to turn On and when to turn Off.

Set model - Input threshold levels set at manufacture time

Typical cases:-

1/ You need to control power relays or power transistors with AC levels 0-110VAC or 0-240VAC.

Smart Power Controllers AC Set models work well on control logic levels from 90 to 250VAC, with no adjustments

2/ You need to control power relays or power transistors with DC levels of 12 or 24 VDC?

Smart Power Controllers DC Set models work well on control logic levels from 12 to 24 DC, with no adjustments


Preset model -- SWS flashs the input thresholds at your ordering time

You need to control power relays or transistors with non standard PLC Logic Levels

Typical Cases are

1/ You need to control power relays or power transistorsuse using any of these logic types - PC digital I/O system (TTL - 5VDC), a Micro (3.3 VDC), a Controller ( 9 VDC) or a PLC ( 12 VDC )?

Smart Power Controllers DC Preset models work well with all these Logic Levels and types.


Adjustable model -- by you in the field or on the bench

You need to control power relays or power transistors with DC levels.0 -10 VDC, not necessarily a logic control signal.

Typical Cases are

1/ You need to control power relays or power transistors with a non logic level system. A varying DC signal from a field gauge like a temperature transmitter, pressure gauge or flow meter etc

Smart Power Controllers Adjustable models don't need Logic Levels to switch, just connect a varying 0-10 VDC input and adjust the Hi and Lo threshold levels inputs at setup time in the field and you can control power.

Technical Notes:-

Set Models - Factory Set Input thresholds Off/Open <=5VDC and On/Closed => 10VDC (none adjustable in the field)

Preset Models - At Buy Time the Preset Input levels are specified and flashed Off/Open 0-10VDC and On/Closed 0- 10VDC, You choose the level, Off must be less than On level -- of course. (none adjustable in the field)

Field Adjustable Models - Both On and Off Input levels are set in the field by connecting the required threshold voltage levels to specific threshold adjustable inputs using potentiometers or voltage dividers. Off/Open 0-10VDC and On/Closed 0- 10VDC, You choose the level in the field or on the bench, Off must be less than On level -- of course. (adjustable in the field)

Field Adjustable & Preset Models - The On Input levels is set in the field by connecting the required threshold voltage levels to specific threshold adjustable input using potentiometers or voltage dividers. (adjustable in the field)
Off/Open 0-10VDC. (none adjustable in the field)You choose the off level and tell us. Off must be less than On level -- of course.



Threshold and Hystersis Note:

The field adjustable thresholds allows the user to tune the relay or transistors power controller module in the field to give custom levels of hystersis.

It can also be used to allow analog levels, not necessarily logic level systems, to control the relays/transistors. This means controlling on a hi and lo level, temperature, pressure, humidity, level etc--- almost any analog industrial system 0-10VDC, even 4-20mA systems using shunt resistors.

For Logic Level systems, having adjustable input threshold levels, makes it possible to connect these relays /transistors power control modules to almost any digital logic level - 3.3 or 5 VDC for PC or micro outputs or any non standard systems

Options:-

Add -lcd --- for the LCD display function and module - LCD Displays Display of the input and output states.

Add -os --- for the One Shot function - this makes the output turn on for a Preset time using a timer in the power controller. At purchase time you will need to advise the OS time so it can be programmed in. An additional Set input allows all the OS timer to be reset.

Add -latch --- for the Latch Output function - this makes the output turn on when the input cross the on threshold and makes the output turn off again when the same input level goes below the off threshold level and back up to the on threshold level. In other words there has to be two cycles of the input from off to on to ff to on to turn the output on and off. An additional Set input allows all the Latching Outputs to be reset.
