More on Wireless Sensors

Omega’s new Wireless Thermocouple Connector Series features stand-alone, compact, battery powered thermocouple connectors that transmit their readings back to a host receiver up to 120 m away.

Each unit can be programmed in the field to work as a type J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N or C calibration connector. When activated the connector will transmit readings continuously at a pre set time interval that was programmed by the user during the initial setup. Each unit measures and transmits: Thermocouple Input Reading, Connector Ambient Temperature, RF Signal Strength and Battery Condition to the host and is displayed on the PC screen in real time using the provided software.

When used with host receiver models UWTC-REC1 or UWTC-REC2 data from up to 12 wireless thermocouple connectors can be received and displayed. Each USB powered unit includes free software that converts your PC into a strip chart recorder or data logger so readings can be saved and later printed or exported to a spread sheet file.
The UWTC-REC2 also allows wireless data from one transmitter to be re-transmitted out of the receiver by a wired connection as an analogue voltage or current to interface with a controller, PLC or data acquisition board.

The 32 channel UWTC-REC3 receiver has an Ethernet port which allows you to monitor and record temperature over an Ethernet network or the Internet without any special software - just your preferred web browser.
The REC3 receiver is easily configured from a Web Browser and can be password protected. From within an Ethernet LAN or over the Internet, the user simply types the IP address (such as 192.168.1.200) or an easy to remember name (such as "Oven 5" or "Server Room") and the Receiver serves a Web Page with the current readings from active transmitters.

Terminal Block Products

This is only one of many new terminal systems from Omega.

The XBPT Series incorporates a spring cage connection system proven in applications that are sensitive to vibration. The spring mechanism always exerts the same constant force on the wire, resulting in a vibration proof, gas-tight connection, and independent of the user. The space-saving front connection, with the wire and screwdriver coming in parallel from the same direction, allows for simple wiring in places where there is little space available. The connection point is opened with a standard screwdriver. After the wire has been inserted into the wire guide of the terminal block, the screwdriver is removed and the wire automatically makes contact. The space-saving design and front entry design make the XBPT Series ideal for control systems where there is little space. Even so, they offer maximum connection space, resulting in fast wiring of stranded and solid conductors, with or without ferrules. XBPT terminal blocks are available with cross-sections from 2.5 mm2 up to 35 mm2. The double bridge shaft can accommodate individual chain bridging and step-down bridging from other terminal blocks.

[1] Low Cost Mass Flowmeters and Controllers

The FMA-A2100 series use capillary-type thermal technology to directly measure mass flow of gasses. No temperature, pressure, or square root corrections are required. Compatible with most non-corrosive gasses and available in ranges from 0-10 SCCM to 0-75 SLM.

All models have linear 0-5 V and 4-20 mA outputs and an integral LCD display is an option.

.........................................

[2] Insertion Style Magnetic Flow Sensor

The FMG3000 Series Magnetic flow meter is an insertion style magnetic flow sensor that features no moving parts. All versions of this magmeter are constructed from corrosion-resistant materials to provide long-term reliability with minimal maintenance costs.

These versatile, simple-to-install magnetic flowmeters deliver accurate flow measurement over a wide dynamic range, in pipe sizes ranging from DN15 to DN200 (0.5 to 8 inches).

.........................................

[3] Thermal Air Velocity Transmitter

The FMA-900 air velocity transducer uses both a velocity sensor and a temperature sensor to accurately measure air velocity (in metres per second). The built-in temperature sensor automatically corrects the flowrate for temperature variations. Both sensors are rugged glass-coated platinum resistance detectors (PRT's).

This design provides excellent low velocity sensitivity and high accuracy. The FMA-900 also features negligible pressure drop and can be mounted in pipes (down to 25mm in size) with standard compression fittings.

.........................................

[4] Precision Wind Tunnel for Anemometer Calibration

The new WTM-1000 mini wind tunnel gives a highly uniform flow rate at 4 selectable fixed air speeds from 2.5 m/s to 15 m/s. With the remote option, the user can control and vary the wind tunnel air speed externally by connecting a potentiometer. The internal 100 mm diameter test chamber is large enough to accommodate either hot-wire or vane-type anemometers. A traceable calibration certificate is supplied for the 4 fixed air speeds.

.........................................

[5] Economical Float Style Level Switches

The LV600 Series unique float level switches provide an economical means of pump-up/pump-down level control with just one level switch. The ON/OFF differential is set by adjusting the length of cable over which the LV600 is allowed to float. The mechanical SPDT switch is rated for 15A at 250 Vac, and can switch more than 100,000 times. The case and cable are hermetically sealed by a two-step plastic injection moulding process to ensure a leak-tight seal.
.........................................

[6] Ultrasonic Level Controller and Transmitter with USB

The LVCN414 Series is a non-contact, ultrasonic level controller and transmitter that delivers reliable, cost-effective, high-performance, small-tank fluid handling control solutions.

The LVCN414 is easily configured through a USB connection and Windows software. Level indication for process or control automation applications can be monitored via local display or remote PLC. The LVCN414 is a total small tank level control and measurement solution.
