Laptop Express Comms Cards

ExpressCard technology is emerging with faster speeds and better efficiency than the typical PCMCIA and PC Cards, connecting high-bandwidth peripherals to notebooks and other portables. The ExpressCard’s credit-card like format gives way to a smaller, faster and more desktop-friendly format. Gone are the days of laptops manufactured with PC Card slots and are swapped out with smaller, slimmer and thinner ExpressCard portals.

More on Express Cards -- PCIe and USB 2

Please note the following Quatech Expresscards will be released on the following dates:

SSPXP-100 – 27 Jul

SSPXP-200/300 – 2 Aug

SPPXP-100, DSPXP-100, DSPXP-200/300 – 10 Aug

Just to clarify – these are the performance based Expresscards and the mention of PCIe on the Expresscard relates to the base design – Expresscard can be based on either PCIe or USB 2.0.

The Quatech performance series SSPXP-100, etc. are PCIe based so they will better emulate a standard port and have better data rates and lower latency compared to USB 2.0 Expresscards

The USB Express cards are the SSPX-100 and DSPX-100 etc.
