Relio R9 delivers RISC computing power in a compact, rugged package

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

The Relio R9 delivers RISC computing power in a compact, rugged package. Packed with a wealth of I/O features and using the latest embedded software environment, the system is based on the Atmel AT91SAM9263™ processor boasting a 32-bit ARM instruction set for maximum performance. The Relio R9 is the perfect platform for embedded applications requiring small size, wide operating temperature range, and flexible I/O connectivity.

Available with up to 256MB RAM and 256MB Flash memory, the unmatched I/O features of the Relio R9 extend the possible uses beyond traditional ARM applications. Standard I/O includes Ethernet, serial, USB, CAN Bus, digital and analog interface. For local or remote I/O expansion, the Relio R9 connects to Sealevel SeaI/O modules via the dedicated RS-485 expansion port and communicates via RS-485 Modbus RTU.

To provide the fastest time to market, the Windows CE 6.0 BSP binary and low-level drivers for system I/O are included. Additionally, the R9 software package is equipped with the Sealevel Talos I/O Framework, which offers a high-level object-oriented .NET Compact Framework (CF) device interface. This interface provides an I/O point abstraction layer with built-in support for the specific needs of analog and digital I/O such as gain control and debouncing.

The Relio R9 is housed in a rugged, small enclosure suitable for mounting almost anywhere and is rated for a full -40°C – +85°C operating temperature range. The Relio R9 is priced from $599.00, and a QuickStart Development Kit is available. For applications with specialized hardware requirements, system designers can use the Relio R9 as a platform for application development while a customized target system is designed for specific application requirements.

1 & 2 Port USB to Serial Converters for inside PCs.

This will be very helpful and loer cost than Serial cards also and it doesn't use an Express or PCI slot.

Sealevel Systems has announced a new additions to the popular SeaLINK® USB to serial product line: the SeaLINK/PC.SC (one-port) and SeaLINK+2/PC.SC (two-port) embedded USB to serial adapter with a PC bracket perfect for adding serial ports to any PC using the computer's internal USB connection. The serial ports are software configurable for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485, which eliminates the need for an external converter and provides a clean, professional installation. - Very nice

All configuration and electrical interface selections are handled through the driver software, so you never need to shut down your computer or open the system enclosure to set jumpers or dipswitches. Additionally, the devices maintain their electrical interface settings in hardware, allowing the host computer to be repaired or upgraded without reconfiguring the serial ports.

The serial ports on each SeaLINK adapter appear as standard COM ports to the host computer enabling compatibility with legacy software. All Sealevel SeaLINK USB serial adapters use a state-machine architecture that greatly reduces the host computer's overhead when communicating over multiple serial ports simultaneously while supporting data rates to 921.6K bps.

All SeaLINK products ship with the Sealevel Systems SeaCOM™ suite of Windows drivers and diagnostic utilities. WinSSD, a full-featured application providing powerful testing and diagnostic capabilities, is also included. Use WinSSD for BERT (Bit Error Rate Testing), throughput monitoring, loopback tests, and transmit test pattern messages. Standard operating temperature range for SeaLINK products is 0 - +70°C, and extended temperature range (-40° - +85°C) models are available.

Both models include a standard sized PC bracket and ship with an internal USB cable (Item# CA260) that is compatible with ATX, Mini-ITX, and similar large motherboards with 0.1" USB header connectors. For smaller motherboards, an internal USB cable with a 2mm header connector (Item# CA383) is available as an option. Both items are available immediately from stock priced at $179 for the SeaLINK/PC.SC (Item# 2128) and $229 for the SeaLINK+2/PC.SC (Item# 2228). Like all Sealevel I/O products, the adapters are backed by a lifetime warranty.

Optically Isolated 7-Port USB Hub

The HUB7i includes an industrial grade wall-mount power supply that provides up to 4000 VAC isolation. For specialized applications, an optional medical grade power supply is available that increases the isolation to 5500 VAC, which offers the highest level of protection available from any USB hub manufacturer.

Status LEDs on the HUB7i indicate external power, connection to the host, and fault conditions. The hub is housed in a rugged plastic enclosure and is USB 1.1 compliant and USB 2.0 compatible. The HUB7i integrates a high-retention USB type "B" connector that prevents accidental disconnection of the USB cable, while the seven type "A" connectors provide a full 500mA to each attached USB peripheral.

Supported in Windows, Linux, and other USB aware operating systems, the HUB7i requires no separate drivers and is easy to install. Simply provide power to the hub using the included power supply, plug the hub into an available USB port with the included cable, and the hub is automatically recognized.

Software Configurable 4 & 8 Port Industrial USB to Serial Adapters

This product is a rugged industrial version that has locking USB ports and makes deployment of industrial systems configured as a mix of RS-232, 422, 485 a snap.
